I just redisovered Andrew Loomis and his Successful Drawing book. Really great stuff and still so valid even 50 years after it's first publication. Wish I had read this book 10 years ago but I think we find things in our own time, it's fun going through the exercises. I remember my mom's old drawings, I can see some of Loomis' influence in hindsight.

We are still recovering from the wonderment that is Dragon Con. Met some cool folks at the Steampunk meetup and learned a lot. Working with leather these days and I'm eager to work some more. The holsters I made are pretty good but I know I can do much better with more time and patience. Once my funds have regenerated a bit I'm buying a new Dremil bit for cutting brass.

Today I'm watching the Marta's many inspiring videos on the creation of Judith. Really awesome stuff, I'm amazed at the amount of skill that went into this painting. Anyways, just posting so I don't have the some droll post from before. KW
